At 93 years old, Rupert Murdoch is once again a newlywed.
The media mogul and former News Corp executive chairman married his girlfriend, Elena Zhukova, on Saturday, a representative for Murdoch confirmed to USA TODAY.
Photos from the wedding day, shared with USA TODAY, show Murdoch posing with his bride, who is holding a bouquet of flowers. The ceremony was held at Murdoch’s vineyard and estate in California.
Fox News and The Sun had previously reported the news of the wedding.
Murdoch announced his engagement to Zhukova, a 67-year-old retired molecular biologist, in March, just days before his 93rd birthday. According to The Guardian, the couple met at a gathering hosted by Wendi Deng, Murdoch’s third wife, and have been together since last summer, as reported by The New York Times.
Murdoch was most recently married to model Jerry Hall from 2016 to 2022. “They remain good friends and wish each other the best for the future,” their attorneys told USA TODAY upon announcing their divorce.
In 2023, Murdoch became engaged to Ann Lesley Smith, but the engagement was called off shortly after it was announced.
Murdoch’s previous marriages include Patricia Booker from 1956 to 1965, Anna Torv from 1967 to 1999, and Wendi Deng from 1999 to 2013. He has six children: Prudence, Elisabeth, Grace, Chloe, Lachlan, and James.
In September, Murdoch stepped down from his roles as chair of Fox Corporation and executive chairman of News Corp, with his son Lachlan succeeding him.
“Neither excessive pride nor false humility are admirable qualities,” Murdoch remarked. “However, I am genuinely proud of what we have accomplished together over the decades. I owe a great deal to my colleagues, whose contributions to our success, though often unnoticed outside the company, are deeply appreciated by me.”
